Myofascial Cupping therapy is a centuries-old method for managing medical conditions, based on traditional Asian medicine. Many clinical conditions may benefit from cupping as part of program design to improve functional outcomes. In this introductory intensive, hands-on course, you will learn the benefits of cupping techniques with clinical tips on how to utilize specialized manual therapy tools to improve functional outcomes with measurable results!

AGENDA: Home Study course allows students to progress at their own pace. The format is modular. Course requires reading and reviewing slides, lab practice and exam time for 2 hours along with viewing 5 hours of videos
Module 1: 1 hour : Introduction, history of negative pressure cupping, equipment safety and infection control Oriental medicine theory and practice
Module 2: 1.5 hours: Tools, evidence, precautions, indications, contraindications, and benefits Myofascial release principles and practice, scar tissue
Module 3: 1 hour: Applications of clinical cupping and demonstration: skin glide and scar release
Cupping demo: upper body positioning & technique
Cupping for neck pain, adhesive capsulitis, forward head posture with kyphosis, lateral/medial epicondylitis, palmar fascia restrictions,
Module 4: 1.5 hours: Cupping demo: lower body positioning & technique
Cupping demo for low back pain, ITB syndrome, tight hip flexors, hamstring strain, calf stiffness, plantar fasciitis
Clinical cupping release and practice integration with tools, positioning, and home programs
Review Powerpoint slide presentation with lab and online demos: 2 hours
Post-course exam and course evaluation completion: estimated 1 hour
